Multi-property pretax rollout for hotel and event-venue groups
Hotel and event-venue groups can roll Alice across every property on one contract, with deductions routed to the right entity automatically. There is no up-front employer cost and no manual open enrollment to manage at any property. Setup starts with one call.
Why hotel groups offer Alice
Multi-property groups carry significant frontline headcount: housekeepers, front desk agents, banquet staff, kitchen staff, engineering, and security. The more frontline staff you have, the more the benefit is worth. That only holds if each property does not need its own HR effort to launch.
Alice was built so the corporate HR team handles the launch once, and per-property onboarding flows through employees' phones. Employees don't pre-fund. The employer keeps a reserve amount in its Alice plan account; it belongs to the employer and is not a fee.
This is different from traditional office-worker pretax benefit companies, where you pay up front and manage enrollment and payroll on your own.
What hotel and event-venue employees get
Every eligible W-2 employee at every property gets Alice Card, a Visa commercial credit card issued by Celtic Bank and powered by Stripe. Program funds are held at Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Member FDIC).
The card works at transit fare gates, commuter rail vending, bus fareboxes, parking garages, parking lots, parking meters, and parking apps. IRS 2026 limits are $340 per month for transit and $340 per month for qualified parking under Rev. Proc. 2025-32.
Uber and Lyft are not IRS-eligible. There is a narrow vanpool carve-out that occasionally applies at resort properties with a vanpool to staff housing.
How multi-property payroll connections work
Alice connects to 30+ payroll providers, including ADP, UKG, Paylocity, Paycom, Paychex, Toast, and others. Groups typically run one payroll provider across every property, often with each property as a separate EIN.
Alice maps each employee to the correct EIN inside the payroll feed, so deductions and tax savings post to the legal entity that employed them in that pay period. Event venues with seasonal swings are handled the same way.
Setup speed
Setup starts with one call. The corporate HR call kicks off the connection. Rollout to employees across all properties typically completes within two weeks, depending on how quickly payroll credentials are shared.
How much multi-property groups actually save
Employers save FICA on every pretax dollar an employee runs, which compounds across hundreds or thousands of eligible employees across the portfolio. Employees save about 20% on transit and qualified parking; actual savings depend on each employee's tax situation.
We frame the employee value as cash back at enrollment to drive participation across every property.
FAQs for hotel and event-venue groups
Can different properties have different elections?
Alice handles elections per employee, so corporate does not maintain a per-property matrix.
How are acquisitions handled?
When the group acquires a property, employees at the acquired property roll under the existing Alice contract through the same payroll connection.
What about event venues with heavy seasonality?
Variable-hour and seasonal employees are eligible as W-2 staff, and elections only consume actual eligible spending.

Savings shown or implied — including any reference to "cash back" or take-home pay — are illustrative. Actual savings depend on your tax rate, benefit elections, and eligible spending each pay period. "Cash back" in Alice's materials refers to the federal, state, and FICA payroll taxes you don't pay on eligible commuter spending. It is income tax you keep, not a cash payment from Alice, your employer, or any third party. Alice does not provide cash back, rebates, or any direct financial benefit in connection with the Program. Alice does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Consult your own tax preparer, lawyer, or financial advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
Figures shown are for the 2026 plan year and are set by the IRS. Limits are indexed annually by the IRS.
Specific benefits, election rules, and run-out periods depend on your employer's plan design. Check with your HR team or plan administrator for details.
