Does Alice connect to TriNet?
It depends on your TriNet contract structure. TriNet is a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that bundles HR, benefits, and payroll for small and mid-market employers. PEO clients often have commuter benefits administered through the PEO's own benefits stack, so adding Alice takes coordination with TriNet. Contact sales to confirm.
How PEO commuter benefits typically work
The PEO sponsors the commuter benefit plan under the federal commuter benefit rule (ยง132(f)) and administers it through its chosen vendor. Switching to a different commuter administrator may require coordinating with the PEO. Some PEOs allow it, some don't.

When this matters
TriNet's commuter benefit is administered on the WageWorks (HealthEquity) platform [1], where an order repeats every month until the employee changes or cancels it before the cutoff [2]. That is not easy to adjust to hourly workers' paychecks, which change with hours, shifts, and tips. Employers also switch when they want more enrollment from an hourly population, or when the employer FICA economics are better with a different administrator.
Alice Card
Alice Card is a Visa commercial credit card issued by Celtic Bank and powered by Stripe. Program funds are held at Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Member FDIC). Eligible spending includes transit, vanpool, and qualified parking (garages, lots, meters, and parking apps). Uber and Lyft are not eligible; vanpool services are a narrow exception.
