Does Alice connect to Insperity?

It depends on your Insperity contract structure. Insperity is a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that serves mid-market employers across the US, with HR, payroll, and benefits bundled. Insperity usually runs commuter benefits through its own stack, so adding Alice takes coordination with Insperity. Contact sales to confirm.

Why employers ask

Insperity's commuter benefit is administered on the WageWorks (HealthEquity) platform [1], where an order repeats every month until the employee changes or cancels it before the cutoff [2]. That is not easy to adjust to hourly workers' paychecks, which change with hours, shifts, and tips. Alice is purpose-built for those workers.

What Alice offers

There is no up-front employer cost, no manual open enrollment to manage, and no employee pre-funding. The employer keeps a reserve amount in its Alice plan account; it belongs to the employer and is not a fee. Setup starts with one call.

Alice connects to 30+ payroll providers, including ADP, UKG, Paylocity, Paycom, Paychex, and Toast.

Alice Card

Alice Card is a Visa commercial credit card issued by Celtic Bank, powered by Stripe, with program funds at Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Member FDIC). Eligible spending is transit, vanpool, and qualified parking (garages, lots, meters, and parking apps). Uber and Lyft are not eligible; vanpool services are a narrow exception.

Mandate jurisdictions

Your Insperity-managed workforce may include employees in New York City, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Richmond, CA, New Jersey, or Hawaii. If so, commuter compliance is required. The pretax election under the federal commuter benefit rule (§132(f)), which Alice administers, is the option each of them accepts.
