How fast can I roll Alice out to my team?
Most employers go live with Alice in under two weeks. The fastest documented setup is one business day. The pace depends on your payroll system, the size of your team, and how quickly we get the basic information we need.
The timeline
Day 0 — Intro call (30 to 45 minutes). We confirm headcount, pay frequency, payroll provider, and which locations are in scope. We answer compliance questions for your jurisdictions.
Day 1 to 3 — Payroll connection. Alice has connections to ADP, UKG, Paylocity, Paycom, Paychex, Toast, Workday, and 25+ others. For supported providers, the connection is usually completed in one or two days.
Day 3 to 7 — Card production and shipping. Employees receive their Alice Card by mail. The card is a Visa commercial credit card issued by Celtic Bank, powered by Stripe, with program funds at Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Member FDIC).
Day 5 to 10 — Employee communications. Alice supplies the announcement copy. Employees can install the Alice app the day cards arrive.
Day 10 to 14 — First pretax pay period. Eligible swipes from the first pay cycle are reclassified pretax through payroll automatically.

- Confirm your payroll provider and pay schedule
- Confirm your employee roster file (CSV or direct from payroll)
- Approve the small reserve deposit (there is no employee pre-funding required and only a small reserve deposit from the employer)
- Send the announcement Alice drafts for you
What you do not do
- You do not run an open enrollment.
- You do not collect election forms.
- You do not pre-fund employee accounts.
- You do not pay a per-employee setup fee.
