What if I pay cash?

Cash works for parking but not for transit. Transit must be paid with Alice Card or a card connected to Alice.

Transit

The IRS does not allow cash claims for pretax spending on mass transit. To get the benefit on transit, pay with Alice Card or another card you've connected to Alice. You can buy your passes from a ticket booth, vending machine, transit app, or the transit authority's website using a connected card.

Parking

For parking, cash is allowed. If you could not pay with a connected card, keep your receipt and submit a claim in your Alice dashboard. When you submit, make sure the payment method you select (cash, or a card not connected to Alice) matches what's on the receipt.
